You can walk to Lake Sumter Landing Market Square where you will find shopping, restaurants, movie theaters and FREE live entertainment nightly. Arnold Palmer Country Club is about a half of a mile and offers Championship golf, pro shop and a very popular country club restaurant open for lunch & dinner. Virginia Trace Neighborhood Recreation Center is within walking distance if you are looking to spend an afternoon pool side. If you are looking for activities Canal Street Recreation Center is a quick walk down the street. Here you will find billiards room, shuffleboard courts, bocce ball, horseshoe pits, card rooms, tennis courts, pickleball courts and so much more! If you're looking for more organized activities, Lake Miona Regional Recreation Center is less than a mile away as well. Here you'll find tennis & pickleball courts, bocce ball, shuffleboard, horseshoe pits, basketball, arts and crafts room, a sports pool and many organized activity rooms. 

You'll feel right at home the minute you open the front door. This home is beautifully decorated with an open floor plan and relaxing feel. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need to prepare meals or entertain new friends. The dining room has comfortable seating for 4. The living room offers plenty of seating and a flat screen TV for you to enjoy your favorite shows or watch a movie. The master bedroom has a high-quality comfortable king size bed, large walk in closet, and a private master bath. The master bath offers a walk in shower and comes complete with towels and linens. The guest bedroom has a queen size bed, a private bath with a shower/tub combo and is complete with towels and linens. Of course there is the charming screened in lanai which is set up with a table and seating for 4 making it the perfect spot to enjoy your morning coffee while reading the paper and planning your days activities or relaxing with friends before heading off to Lake Sumter Landing Market Square to enjoy an evening of FREE live entertainment. The well landscaped private back yard is like your own little oasis with comfortable chairs for you to relax & enjoy the sounds of nature. This home is set up for entertaining so invite your new friends over! 

This dog-friendly home comes complete with WiFi internet.  With the purchase of resident ID cards you can use any of the 29 executive golf courses with no greens fees. And these executive golf courses are not your typical 'pitch & putt' courses. They present some challenging par 3s and the occasional par 4, with three sets of tee boxes to accommodate golfers of different skill levels. You pay resident rates on greens fees at the 11 Championship courses. You're also entitled to use any of the family friendly and adult only (30 or older) swimming pools, organized activity swimming pools, bocce ball, shuffleboard courts, horseshoe pits, billiards tables, tennis courts, pickleball courts, basketball courts, sand volleyball and over 1000 organized activities every week through the recreational centers.

  Great location. Very short walk to the pool. 12 minute walk to Sumter Landing. House was very clean and great a/c. We breakfasted every morning on the lanai and watched the sunset from the same seats. Pots are a bit dated, no BBQ and we had to rent a golf cart, but no big deal. Would rent there again, if it was available.

  The house was fine except for the fact we did not have cable that was listed as being provided in the description of the property. After many unreturned phone calls to the management company I went in person to their office to get it resolved. Someone from the management company arrived and ended up giving us access to his dish network as he had not heard back from the owner. The only other issue was better cooking utensils for the kitchen

  We rented for Feb-Mar 2020 but left on 2/17 due to Covid 19. In 2019, we rented in Chatham Village further north. Location and access to Sumter Landing was the great benefit of 1226 Virginia. The home was clean but clearly a rental as the furniture was "bargain basement" and the cooking utensils were really cheap particularly the flatware. The icemaker broke but was quickly fixed by Down Home. The neighborhood was quiet and the few neighbors we talked to were friendly. Shopping (Winn Dixie) was close by. Vertical blinds kept falling off and my wife says the bed linens need to be upgraded. The TV's were decent but I had to purchase cables and a firestick to use the DVD player and streaming channels. I took them with me.The bbq grill was functional and no more. If improvements were made we would rent again all because of location.

  My husband and I would recommend this property to anyone looking for a rental home in a great location. We were within walking distance of the local town center. Great selection of restaurants and shops and a movie theater. The property was very well maintained and includes all basic necessities to make you feel right at home.
