This home is beautifully decorated with soft, airy colors, all new furniture and has vaulted ceilings, tile through out the living area and an open floor plan. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need to prepare meals or entertain new friends. The living room offers plenty of comfortable seating including a double reclining sofa with neck support, matching love seat and 2 leather reclining chairs and a flat screen 65" Smart TV with a sound bar for your enjoyment. The master bedroom has a new Tempurpedic adjustable king size bed that allows you to lift your head and or feet as well as vibrates, TV, large walk in closet, and a private master bath. The master bath offers a walk in shower and comes complete with towels and linens. One of the guest bedroom has a high quality comfortable queen size bed for your guests and the other guest room has a comfortable queen size wall bed if the grandkids drop in for a night or 2. The guest bath is complete with towels and linens. The lanai is the perfect spot to enjoy your morning coffee while reading the paper and planning your days activities or relaxing with friends before heading off to Lake Sumter Landing Market Square to enjoy an evening of FREE live entertainment. And if you're looking for a quiet place to sit and read the courtyard villa is perfect...you have privacy walls to give you the feeling of being in your own private world. You will also find in the back yard a dining table that seats 4 with an umbrella if you want to invite your new friends over for happy hour or have a cook up some of your favorite BBQ on the grill.

This home comes complete with a NEW gas golf cart & WiFi internet.  With the purchase of resident ID cards you can use any of the 29 executive golf courses with no greens fees. And these executive golf courses are not your typical 'pitch & putt' courses. They present some challenging par 3s and the occasional par 4, with three sets of tee boxes to accommodate golfers of different skill levels. You pay resident rates on greens fees at the 11 Championship courses. You're also entitled to use any of the family friendly and adult only (30 or older) swimming pools, organized activity swimming pools, bocce ball, shuffleboard courts, horseshoe pits, billiards tables, tennis courts, pickleball courts, basketball courts, sand volleyball and over 1000 organized activities every week through the recreational centers.

This home is made for fun! Just bring your suitcase and we'll provide the 'key' for enjoyment.

  1194 Flamingo Place is a great location, walking distance to Sumter Landing. It could use a good dusting before guests check in. More lighting in the master bedroom, and the adjustable bed was not working.
  We were waiting for the exterminator to show up, we were told he would be at the house in 30 minutes. We left an hour later and he did not show. The next morning however, he shows up unannounced. He was polite, and only did the outside. He just let us know that he was outside.
  The new cookware is a nice improvement.

  I was extremely pleased with my stay at 1194 Flamingo Place. The property was very well maintained. The home was clean, comfortable and had all the amenities that I could want. Everything worked as expected, from the icemaker to the air conditioner to the Internet connection. The property is conveniently located near the Lake Sumter Landing town square, which made shopping, dining out and going to see the nightly entertainment at the town square a breeze. I would highly recommend this property to anyone wanting to visit The Villages and sample The Villages Lifestyle.

  I stayed at this home for 6 weeks. It’s in a great locations, within easy walking distance to Sumter Square. The home is very well furnished with nice furniture and comfortable beds. There is also a nice screeded porch and private back patio. The Gas golf cart was also great. Down Home Proderties was quick to address a minor plumbing issue. My only complaint is there are only 2 TV’s, one in the family room and one in the Master. Those TVs are nice but, only very basic cable was available (meaning no ESPN, Cable News, or movie channels, etc.J. Internet service was fast and reliable. Overall it was a great experience. Thank you!

  Our December stay at 1194 Flamingo was great. The home is beautiful and in a great location close to Lake Sumter Landing Market Square easily in walking distance. Upon our arrival there was considerable debris and litter on the floor next to the refrigerator as well as under the front of the sofa and loveseat. The Master BR furniture was dusty, walk in shower had hair on the walls - however these issues were NOT the fault of the cleaning staff of Downhome Property Management. Upon reporting our findings to the office they sent out 2 girls who did an excellent job of cleaning and told us that they had not been sent to clean prior to our arrival because the owners were there and upon their departure they reported that they had cleaned the home themselves. The Downhome Property Management staff was great -friendly, professional and welcoming - answered any questions we had.
  We ate at several of the restaurants, took in the nightly live entertainment and took some day trips to area attractions. We would stay in this property again, but would suggest that the owners offer renters the option of paying for a cable upgrade (more channels) for the month. Too many channels were unavailable. All in all it was a great stay.
